Glenn E. Martin was an American criminal justice reform advocate. He was born on March 29, 1969, in Brooklyn, New York, and he grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Martin spent six years in prison for robbery and was released in 2000. After his release, he dedicated his life to advocating for criminal justice reform.
Martin co-founded the organization JustLeadershipUSA in 2014, which aimed to reduce the number of people in prison by half in the United States by 2030. He was also a board member of The Marshall Project, an investigative journalism non-profit organization covering criminal justice issues.
Glenn E. Martin passed away on August 3, 2019, at the age of 50. His legacy continues through the organizations he founded and the reforms he advocated for, which continue to have a significant impact on the criminal justice system in the United States.
